How to rearrange a well-known symphonic piece from the late 19th century into a version of the 21st century, mixing electronics and the orchestra’s traditional instruments?
Antonin Dvorak was one of the last great composers of the “classical” era, and his work “the symphony of the new world” left its mark on people and still resonates today, 125 years after its composition.
It was the most ambitious and longest project (1 year of work), constantly torn between respect for the original piece and the need for a new modern arrangement mixing electronic sounds, and keeping a very “cinematic” design of the original symphony.
After its initial single release, the track was included in the re-released CD version of the album “Close-Up” in 2013.
